Linguine with Clam Sauce

This is from my dear friend Liz! I can still remember the night I made it for John, he was in heaven!!!

From: Emeril Serves: 6-8 people

Ingredients: 2lbs of clams (you can use canned, but I think fresh is best)
3 garlic cloves
pinch red crush pepper
1/4 cup of parsley
2 tbsp oregano and basil
salt n pepper
1 1/2 lbs of linguine
Parmesan cheese and bread
3 cups of tomato sauce
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (evoo)
1/2 cup red wine (can be cooking wine, but real wine is best)

Directions: (Cook your linguine by following the box directions and leave on side)

1. Add oil and heat to pan.
2. Add garlic and fry 2 min.
3. Add crushed pepper and clams saute for 2 min.
4. Add wine and cook until wine reduces 3 min.
5. Add sauce, cover, and cook until clams open.
6. Add parsley, salt, and all spices
7. Add pasta to clams and toss
