HOME

Home is when we are together...relaxing.

Home is when I feel comfortable and safe and can 'let my hair down'.

Home is when the Macintosh Apple Yankee candle is burning and I'm fast asleep on the couch during nap time.

Home is when I cuddle a little person once they wake up from nap time.

Home is when you can smell garlic and sauce even before you open the door.

Home is when you've gone Apple Picking and you bake an apple crisp with the family.

Home is when I'm on a date night, with my guy, and loving every minute of the alone time, the laughter, the inside jokes, and the feel of his hand on mine.

Home is walking into the library and holding Julia's hand, and Mark's hand at the same time and we are all excited for what we will learn that day.

Home is making a Chicken Pot Pie (click here for Suzette's recipe) for the man that you love because he had a tough day at work, text him a picture of the finished product and get a text back that says, "Oh Sweet Baby!"

Home is staying up later than normal because Daddy's not home yet, and I can't sleep without a good night kiss, mommy! (Julia is really getting daddy wrapped around her finger!)

Home is hearing your kids sing to you on your birthday and having them 'help' you blow out your candles.

Home is letting your mom spoil you even though you are 33 years old.

Home is being happy in your skin because you know that God has great things in store for you.

Home is being happy regardless of how you feel (yucky root canal) because you know God works all things together for your good.

Home is your best friend bringing you over a meal just because she loves you and wants to help you in any way possible.

Home is all your favorite people in one room, and a lot of laughter and noise going on.

Home is shelter, love, protection, safety, hugs, smiles, good food, good smells, warm apple crisp, and a bit of coffee to wash it all down.

What is home to you?
