Quarantined

Here is a nice, healthy, looking picture of my husband...however, last night he was home by 6:15pm (a huge rarity) and sick with a fever, sore throat, and horrible head ache.

As any mother would, I quarantined this wonderful man, lap top in hand to his bedroom, as I took care of the evening fun with the kids myself.

We watched a Pre School prep video, sang songs, read books, and I even got some kitchen cleaning in.  Soon I brought the kids upstairs where they were able to wave to Daddy, but not visit him.  John was tempted to pick them up and play with them, but then I had to scold him because he is not the one who has to nurse them back to health!  Better to keep us all well and get Daddy well, than all of us get sick.  And then mommy won't be happy.  And you know the saying, "When Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

John ate dinner (Baked Salmon and Homemade Rice and Beans) click on Rice and Beans for my recipe.  And I brought him tea in bed as he typed up a proposal for church.  I'm amazed at all he does, even when he's sick!

I put Mark to bed by 7:45 upon request by Mark (he had a long day) and Julia was allowed another snack and we did a reading lesson, and then she was in bed by 8:15.  Although I heard lots of talking from her room as she looked at her Princess search and find book and listened to Stinky Face.

John and I were in bed by 8:30 and asleep by 9!  Quarantined to his room proved to be a good idea.  We needed the extra hours of sleep.   I can't remember the last time I got 9 hours of sleep!  Sorry for the late hour of the post (I try to have them post by 12am not when I wake up) but sometimes nursing your hubby back to good health is all that matters.

Our Esther study will be posted for tomorrow instead of today!  Have a good day!
