Birthday Week

Today was an awesome day because not only was I able to go shopping for a few birthday treats for myself with my birthday money, but I was able to spend time with my Liz and Brenna and Brody! Liz and I have been best buds since Sophomore year of high school. We rode the bus together and took gym together, and always hung out after school if we were done with our homework, she only lived a few blocks away.

It was awesome when she got pregnant with Brenna, Brenna is almost exactly a year older than Julia, she was born on January 3, 2006, and Julia was born December 31, 2007. Needless to say, Liz has helped me tremendously with motherhood and has prepped me well with what to expect. Brody just turned 2, and is a year older than Marky. It is really fun when we hang out because the kids love each other and have a great time together.

I am also so thankful to Liz because she always shares clothes with me for the kids. She has really good taste too! Although Julia is almost the same size as Brenna now (Julia is 90th percentile and very tall for her age).

I also seek advice from Liz because her kids are 15 months apart and mine are 17 months apart, so she helps me with a lot of advice about teaching the kids how to share, potty training, etc.

Liz came over around 4pm and we went outside in my backyard to play. The kids played on the swing set, blew bubbles, went on the slide, and the merry go round. Mark tried to eat all the dirt in my plants, :). It was good times.

Then we brought the kids inside around 5pm and washed our hands and faces and ate noodles and fruit and veggies. Then we played some more and had cake! Oh do these kids love cake. But then, with all the sugar, we started to disobey, and some little people needed time outs...and other little people would sit on the steps to be with the time out person. It was actually rather cute.

Thanks Lizzy and kids. I love you guys!

P.S. Isn't my friend Liz beautiful? We call her Jennifer Anistan, but she is actually even prettier than her! And she has the will power and strength of a mountain lion! She just lost 20 lbs...which I didn't even think she needed to lose, but she looks so amazing and I'm just so proud of her! I love you Lizzy :)

  1. It was nice to meet your friend, Liz! I chuckled when I saw the picture of Marky with his fingers in his mouth:) I kind of guessed he was snacking on something outdoorsy. Kids are just too sweet! Sitting with the one who is in time out is just the cutest thing ever! Totally defeats the purpose of time out, but you just have to love it!
