Saturday Recipe Swap--Quick Appetizers

As you know we have lots of company over. Tonight we are excited to have 3 couples come over for dinner. John is going to be making his famous red sauce and raviolis and chicken parm. and I will be making an elegant salad and some fun appetizers!

In January's 2010 Real Simple Magazine here is 1 appetizer I'm going to try tonight.

Glazed Cocktail Meatballs

Makes 32 Takes 20 minutes

Ingredients:

1lb of ground beef
1/2 cup of bread crumbs
1/2 small red onion (finely chopped)
1 large egg
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup currant jelly
salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Shape into 1-inch balls and broil until cooked through (5-6 minutes)
2. In a large skillet, heat 1/2 cup currant jelly
3. Add meatballs and toss to coat.
4. Serve in a large flat dish with tootpicks nearby!!!

Enjoy!!!

(Pray for the one couple that is coming because they are new to the area and do not know the Lord!) We are hoping to get to know them better, they are soooooooo nice and fun to be around. We hung out with them once before!
